J Amoah Speaks

As you get older knowing your style and what colors/patterns works best for you is so important. As we mature our style does too! It’s so funny; when I look back on old photos I think, ahhh, did I really used to dress like that?

I know we’ve all been there, guys you remember rocking those Rockawear jeans? And who can forget the hush puppies, I used to love those shoes lol. Fashion is always changing and so are we; the things we used to wear, we no longer wear them. The same should go for our mindset, as we get older we should no longer act and do things like a child.

According to 1 Corinthians 13:11, “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things”. As we grow and mature, we learn a sense of who we really are. I personally know for me I have had a serious style and mindset evolution (see picture below).

I look back and almost cringe at some of the stuff I wore but hey it was cool back then. The same way we learn and evolve with our style we need to grow and mature in our spiritual lives. If we don’t dress the same way we did 10 years ago, then why are we still praying the same prayers and reading our word on that level? We seriously need to grow; we need to be at a mature level in our walk with God.

When it comes to spiritual things we all learn and grow differently. God has placed us all at different levels in our faith for a reason. However, we should not stay at level 2. Have you ever played a video game and were unable to reach the next level, frustrating right? It’s like you are so anxious to get to the next level and unlock the secret code.

The same thing should go with our faith. We should desire to reach the next level, we should desire to dive deeper into the word of God! The wisdom and knowledge that the Word carries is too powerful and God is waiting for us to get to the next level. Spend more time with God; ask Him to help you reach that next level spiritually, financially, physically, and mentally. Let Him transform you inside and out, let people see a new and better you!

Christ is ready to give us that fabulous make-over that we desperately need. Allow Him to have His way in your life and I promise you won’t regret it. Allowing God to make changes in our lives can be difficult and a bit of a challenge but we can do all things through Christ!

Stay Blessed
